Discover how-to use NAO Activities
Starting / Stopping NAO Activities mode
by default NAO is in Application Mode.
To Start NAO activities mode, press one of the 2 feet once.
The LEDs on the feet turn green.
To exit NAO Activities mode (green feet), place your hand on NAO’s forehead, hiding its camera, and press the 1st button for 3 seconds.
you should hear 2 ‘bloops’ and feet are turning back to off.
Test the Activities Library
Once NAO is connected to internet, connect with a device on connect on https://nao-activities.aldebaran.com
In settings, connect to your NAO.
Then test the activities that are in the
library by starting it from the interface or by showing the QR code to NAO
Launch an Activity
Take the activity card of your choice and show the QR code to NAO.
Note: If NAO is not starting interacting with you, say something like “Hello” to get started.
Tips
- Talk to NAO when his eyes turn blue, it means he is listening. Stay right in front of him.
- When NAO nods it means he heard what you said.
- When NAO has green eyes, he understood what you said and will answer you.
- During activity, when NAO speaks, you can interrupt him by touching his head
Create your own NAO Activities in your Library
Once connected to your library https://nao-activities.aldebaran.com
Go in “Create new activity” and write the instructions. Then save, test it with NAO and iterate until NAO’s behavior fit with your pedagogical needs
