Terms and Conditions of Use
(hereinafter the “T&Cs”)

Continued browsing on www.aldebaran.com (hereinafter the “Website”) constitutes unconditional acceptance of the following terms and conditions of use. Aldebaran reserves the right to update and amend the T&Cs at any time without prior notice. By using the Website after an update on the T&Cs, the user accepts the terms of the updated version.
1. USER OBLIGATIONS
When using the Website, the user undertakes to:
- Use the Website in accordance with the T&Cs or applicable Specific Terms, as the case may be,
- Not compromise the safety or security of the Website,
- Not degrade or attempt to degrade the performance of the Website,
- Not access the Website to develop or exploit services that compete with the Website,
- Not use the Website in a manner that may harm Aldebaran or any third party, as the case may be,
- Protect against risks of data loss or hacking by using appropriate security systems and software.
2. SPECIFIC TERMS
Beyond the Website’s T&Cs, additional specific terms (“Specific Terms”) may apply to certain services. In such cases, the Specific Terms shall prevail over the T&Cs. For example, downloading or using certain software may require the user to accept and comply with an End User License Agreement. Similarly, if Aldebaran offers the user the possibility of purchasing or ordering services or products online, general terms of sale will apply in addition.
Aldebaran reserves the right to modify the Specific Terms at any time without prior notice.
3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Website, its components (photographs, content, images, trademarks, videos, audio extracts, slogans, data, metadata, logos, graphics, texts, software programs, etc.), and, unless stated otherwise, all information it contains are the exclusive property of Aldebaran (or its partners) and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Any reproduction, representation, use, or adaptation, in any form whatsoever, of all or part of these elements, including software applications, without Aldebaran’s prior written consent, is strictly prohibited. The fact that Aldebaran does not initiate legal proceedings upon becoming aware of unauthorized uses does not constitute acceptance of such uses or a waiver of any legal action. Unless stated otherwise, corporate names, logos, products, and trademarks mentioned on the Website are the property of Aldebaran and/or its partners. Pepper® is a trademark of SoftBank Robotics.
4. SERVICES
The Website allows the user to contact Aldebaran’s support and commercial teams via dedicated forms. To ensure prompt follow-up, the user is invited to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
5. USER ACCOUNT
Certain services available on the Website may require the creation of an account through a specific registration process. Creating such an account requires the provision of limited personal data and may be subject to particular conditions. In such cases, the user must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. The user may also be required to choose credentials (username and password), which are confidential and must not be shared. The user is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials.
6. USER CONTENT
The Website may allow user to create, store, upload, share, broadcast, and/or publish photos, images, audio and video recordings, applications, and/or other content (hereinafter “User Content”). All use, reproduction or representation of User Content must comply with the T&Cs or Specific Terms as well as applicable law. By using, reproduction or representing User Content, the user declares and warrants that the user is the right holder of any User Content. The User Content must not infringe intellectual or industrial property rights, nor be defamatory, threatening, harassing, obscene, indecent, pornographic, hateful, or otherwise unlawful under applicable law.
In consideration for using the Site, the user grants Aldebaran a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, irrevocable, sub-licensable, royalty-free license to use, store, copy, reproduce, represent, record, modify, create derivative works from, transmit, publicly display and/or distribute all or part of the User Content, alone or in combination with any other Aldebaran or third-party content, for all commercial and non-commercial purposes, in all media now known or hereafter devised and through all distribution methods now known or hereafter devised.
For clarity, and without limiting the foregoing, the license granted under this paragraph authorizes Aldebaran to publish the User Content on its social media accounts, websites and/or any marketing, press or communication medium. The user agrees that the license so granted does not entitle the user, either now or in the future, to any remuneration or compensation from Aldebaran or any of its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries or sublicensees, even if the User Content is used in any way under this paragraph.
Aldebaran disclaims all liability with respect to User Content. Without limiting Aldebaran’s right to claim damages, any User Content in violation of the T&Cs may be removed from the Website.
Aldebaran reserves the right, in the most serious cases, to prohibit access to the Website at its sole and absolute discretion.
7. SITE MANAGEMENT
For the proper management of the Website, Aldebaran may, at its sole discretion, at any time and without notice:
- Add, modify, or delete any information on the Website,
- Suspend, interrupt, or restrict access to all or part of the Website,
- Suspend the Website to perform updates deemed necessary.
8. MAINTENANCE
Maintenance operations may be carried out to ensure the Website functions properly. Aldebaran will use its best effort to mitigate the consequences of such maintenance operations.
In the event of modification of the Website, there is no warranty that existing functionalities will be maintained.
9. LIABILITY
Aldebaran shall not be held liable for any failure, malfunction, difficulty, or interruption in operation preventing access to the Website or any of its functionalities. The user is solely responsible for its connection equipment and must take appropriate measures to protect its equipment and data, including from internet-based viral attacks. Naturally, the user remains solely responsible for internet browsing. Aldebaran shall not be liable for any damage caused to the user, the user’s equipment, or third parties due to the user’s connection to the Website. The user waives any action or claim against Aldebaran in this regard. The photos and videos of products accompanying their descriptions are for illustrative purposes only and are not contractually binding on Aldebaran.
While Aldebaran strives to provide accurate information on the Website, such information is provided for indicative purposes only and is not contractually binding. Aldebaran does not warrant the accuracy, precision, timeliness, relevance, or completeness of the information available on the Website. Consequently, Aldebaran disclaims any liability:
- For any inaccuracy, error, or omission regarding the information available on the Website,
- For any damage, whether direct or indirect, regardless of their causes, origins, nature, or consequences, resulting from the use of the Website and/or reliance on information directly or indirectly obtained from the Website.
10. NO WARRANTY
The Website is provided “as is” by Aldebaran. Due to the open nature of the internet, Aldebaran does not warrant that the Website is error-free or virus-free and does not warrant uninterrupted operation.
Aldebaran shall not be liable for loss of data or data corruption which may arise directly or indirectly from the use or the inability to use the Website by the User.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE PURSUANT TO APPLICABLE LAW, ALDEBARAN DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Aldebaran and its subsidiaries, successors, and assigns also disclaim all warranties not expressly stated herein, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. PHOTOGRAPHS AND PRODUCT REPRESENTATIONS
The photos and videos of products accompanying their descriptions are for illustrative purposes only and are not contractually binding on Aldebaran.
12. COOKIES AND PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
The Website uses cookies in accordance with Aldebaran’s cookie policy, which is available in the footer of the Website. Personal data processed via the Website and/or its Services are processed in accordance with Aldebaran’s privacy policy.
13. PROHIBITION OF WEBSCRAPING
Aldebaran opposes the copying of information on its Website for reuse by third parties. Scraping its databases is prohibited, and Aldebaran reserves the right to take any action necessary to ensure the protection of its intellectual property.
14. USER SUBMISSIONS
To avoid potential disputes, Aldebaran does not accept or consider unsolicited ideas. Aldebaran encourages users not to share such ideas. If, despite this provision, a user shares ideas, Aldebaran does not guarantee their confidential processing. Such unsolicited submissions shall not entitle the user to any remuneration or compensation of any kind.
15. APPLICABLE LAW
The T&Cs are governed by French law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts.
